Spelhouse Homecoming 2016
A true homecoming is more of a process rather than a mere moment. Sometimes it feels as if life revolves around our home, our origin, and our understanding of home deepens with each encounter. Spelman and Morehouse college recently celebrated their annual homecoming eand it resembled a family reunion more than a traditional collegiate gathering. The current students and alumni from the prestigious institutions filled the campus's with laughter, music and amazing food, but what was truly in abundance was love. The crowded affair allowed the participants to reflect on the illustrious history and even brighter futures of the two HBCU organizations. The sense of community flowed through the crowd like the sounds and smells of a summer barbecue. During the festivities I took a few opportunities to snap candids of the participants.
