Empire City of the South

Since the 1996 Olympics Atlanta has gone through several resurgences, most notably during the Shirley Franklin reign as mayor. Now with Kasim Reed steering Atlanta to a more prominent position in regional, national and international affairs, the city is once again going through a facelift.  

The collection of photos below highlight some of my favorite spots to photograph in the Downtown Atlanta area while they are still intact. This is the first installment of a series of photographs that will continue through Summer 2015 and document a variety of neighborhoods.
